Cruises from Baden-Baden
Baden-Baden is a spa town in SW Germany, about 10 km east of the Rhine River, and on the NW border of the Black Forest. (‘Baden’ in German originally meant ‘bath’, and the double name distinguishes it from other spa towns.) There are 29 natural springs in the area. From Roman times celebrities have come here for medicinal purposes. Napoleon III, Queen Victoria, Victor Hugo, Nikolai Gogol and even Marlene Dietrich all took to the waters here.
