Cruises from Darien Jungle
The Darien Jungle sits to the SE of the Panama Canal straddling the borders of Panama and Columbia. A large portion of the area is designated a National Park though it still seems vulnerable to deforestation, despite the fact that to this day it is deemed impassable. Eco-tourism is regarded as a great help to this problem. A simple footbridge in the town of Yaviza marks the only break in a 46,000 km road network known as the Pan-American Highway, stretching from Alaska to Argentina. Read more
