Bahía Solano – known locally as Bahia - is an economic and tourist centre of the Choco Department Colombia. This small township of only one half a square kilometre faces a broad sweeping beach at low tide, several hundred metres wide, and lies on a river plain. The beach town of El Valle, 18 km SW from Bahia, is the closest community to Ensenada (Inlet) de Utria National Park located only 9 km down the beach.
