Peel Sound is an Arctic waterway in the Qikiqtaaluk, Nunavut, Canada. It separates Somerset Island on the east from Prince of Wales Island on the west. The names evoke the European exploration tradition in this area. To the north it opens onto Parry Channel, while its southern end merges with Franklin Strait, where you will view Bellot Strait, and weather permitting explore the western end of this narrow channel. Although just 3 to 23 km in width, the scenery is spectacular, with both the northern and southern shores rising up steeply to over 700m in some places.

There are several named islands within the sound, including: Lock, Vivian, Prescott, Pandora, Otrick, Barth, De la Roquette, and Gibson. This area is known for rapidly moving ice, as well being a lookout for Narwhal and beluga whales that feed in Peel Sound in the Summer.
