Johansen Bay is a bay in the Nunavut Province of Canada, situated at the centre-south of Victoria Island, and adjacent to the small Edinburgh Island. The Bay lies within the Arctic Circle, on the north side of Coronation Gulf that separates Victoria Island from the Canadian mainland. Inland from the bay, the entire island is covered by very many small lakes and pools contained by the barren rocky terrain. (The highest point on the entire island is just 655 m.)

South of Johansen Bay the Gulf is 55 km wide. Coronation Gulf is part of the southern route of the Northwest Passage, but as Arctic ice retreats annually the northern route is a more direct for Arctic crossings. This southern waterway forms part of the disputed Northwest Passage which the Government of Canada claims are Canadian Internal Waters, while other nations state they are either territorial waters or international waters.

There are no apparent outstanding features connected to the Bay. The island itself is home to Barren-ground caribou, known as the Dolphin and Union herd, because they come to Victoria Island in the summer, and return to the mainland for the winter, crossing the narrow ice-covered Dolphin and Union Strait, which is at the western end of Coronation Gulf.
