Angra dos Reis (“Anchorage of the Kings”), famous for its beautiful and pristine setting, is a Brazilian municipality located in the southern part of Rio de Janeiro state. It is a ferry terminal and one of the busiest ports in Brazil. The port has an industrial side: supertankers, railway head, steel town, oil refinery and nuclear power plants. Surrounding the city are hills, the source of landslides from 2010. Today Angra is a centre for tourism.
