Everything was well planned and communicated. We may look to your company for more focused cruises on smaller ships in the future. We are already booked into a photography cruise to Alaska with another company"

Nesebur is an ancient town and a major seaside resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea. It is so beautifully preserved that it is regarded as one of the world’s rarest historic treasures, and subsequently named as a World Heritage Site. It is renowned for its array of Greek, Roman, and Byzantine remains and with more than three millennia of history, it has been proclaimed a city-museum. Interestingly there are forty churches, either wholly or partly, in the town and these represent the rich architectural heritage of the Eastern Orthodox world as well as being home to some early Christian basilicas and medieval cross-domed churches.

The ancient part of town - originally on an island - is now connected to the mainland by a man-made peninsula. The walled peninsula with its historic buildings and ancient ruins is the first place visited. It is a place where history lives, and visitors delight in strolling along the original cobbled streets and examining the differing architectural styles, the pretty churches including the Church of John the Baptist and the Church of the Holy Archangels, and the Archaeological Museum. Also on offer are some varied souvenirs such as religious icons and even hand-crafted musical instruments. Located in the old town and loved by visitors is the Winery Hristis that offers free wine tasting every day.

Those interested in diving should visit the Nemo Diving Centre. Families can have an amazing time at the Aqua Paradise amusement park. With its delightful weather, the beautiful wide beaches covered by fine golden sand also attract many visitors. Be sure to call in to the restaurants and taste the local favourites that include: peppers or aubergines stuffed with meat, small, strongly spiced minced meat rolls, and a pastry stuffed with fruit or cheese. Nesebur is a place where history lives together with the present times as naturally as the wind, sand and water in the sea.
