Cunard World Voyages 2017
Cunard Line has undertaken more world voyages and sent more ships around the globe than any other shipping line, making them the true experts in World Voyages.

In keeping with this grand tradition, Cunard will operate full world voyages on all three magnificent Queens in 2017. These feature:

• 80 unique ports in 42 unique countries
• 15 ship maiden calls, 5 brand new ports for the fleet
• Queen Mary 2 is sailing a 118 night East-West loop via South Africa, Asia and the Suez Canal.
• Queen Victoria is sailing a 120 night Pacific Loop via South America, Australasia and the Panama Canal.
• Queen Elizabeth is sailing a 120 night Western Circumnavigation via the Panama Canal, Asia and South Africa.

Queen Mary 2
• 38 ports
• 22 countries
• 9 maiden calls
• Overnight stays in Cape Town, Singapore and Dubai
• Scenic cruise bys of Wilson’s promontory, Ben Boyd National park and Tasman Peninsula, Australia
• Transits of the Suez Canal and Messina Straits
• Iconic city waterfronts; Cape Town, Sydney, Hong Kong and Shanghai
• 33 UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Queen Mary 2’s East-West voyage allows for a full immersion in destinations in Australia, the Far East and Asia. Experience the exotic cultures of Japan, Korea and China as well as Malaysia, Vietnam and Thailand. Returning to Southampton, Queen Mary 2 will transit the Suez Canal, making calls to Safaga and Aqaba for the ancient sites of Luxor and Petra.

Four Australian maiden calls.
At the centre of Queen Mary 2’s discovery is Australia with four maiden ports: Margaret River, Kangaroo Island, Port Arthur and Hobart. She will spend three weeks in Australia, touching shore twelve times.

Travelling by ship provides a real sense of the scale of this vast country, revealing the differences that stretch from the rugged, isolated west to the beach-laden Gold Coast and Great Barrier Reef in the east. Queen Mary 2 will step into favourite cosmopolitan cities with two chances each to explore Melbourne and Sydney.

4-night Kangaroo Island departing Melbourne.
From Melbourne, Queen Mary 2 sails to Kangaroo Island, a maiden call for the Cunard flagship. Beautifully rugged Kangaroo Island has, as you would expect, a healthy kangaroo population, along with wallabies, koalas, seals, sea lions, and goannas.

5-night roundtrip to Tasmania departing Sydney. Farewelling Sydney, enjoy spectacular harbour scenery thanks to a late evening departure. On this journey, our flagship makes maiden calls to Port Arthur, home to the notorious penal colony, and Hobart. The itinerary also includes a Tasman Peninsula cruise by.

14-night roundtrip departing Hong Kong.
Cunard’s flagship heads to Hong Kong to create a 14-night roundtrip cruise. Her stops include Keelung in Taiwan, Shanghai, South Korea’s Jeju Island and Busan, and Okinawa in Japan. Returning to Hong Kong in the evening is a unique opportunity to witness the city’s famous harbour from the best possible vantage point – Queen Mary 2.

Queen Victoria
• 32 ports
• 17 countries
• 2 maiden calls
• Overnight stays in San Francisco, Sydney and Port Everglades
• Scenic cruise bys off New Zealand’s Fjordland, Easter Island, Pitcairn Island and the Amalia and Pio XI glaciers and Chile
• Transits of the Amazon River, Panama Canal and Magellan straits
• Iconic city waterfronts; Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco, Sydney and Honolulu
• 29 UNESCO World Heritage Sites

This voyage will be the first time since 2004 that Queen Victoria has visited South America, offering scenic cruising in the Magellan straits, Chilean fjords and five days’ cruising in the Amazon River. Cunard is delighted to announce that this will be a first for the current Cunard fleet, setting a record at the same time for the largest cruise ship ever to transit the Amazon.

Following her travels around the continent, Queen Victoria will cross the South Pacific Ocean, sailing past Easter Island and Pitcairn Island before visiting Polynesia en route to New Zealand and Australia. On the return leg of her voyage she will transit the Panama Canal, the gateway between the Pacific and Atlantic oceans.

Riches of South America.
In a Cunard first, Queen Victoria will cruise the intriguing Amazon River. Winding through the heart of the mightiest tropical rainforest on earth, her two maiden calls can be found here - Manaus and Santarem, both deep in the heart of the Amazon. Queen Victoria also makes several calls to iconic South American cities, including Rio de Janeiro, which includes a late evening departure, Buenos Aires and Montevideo.

A spectacular transit of the Magellan Straits, and a cruise by the stunning Amalia and Pio XI glaciers – three sights best experienced from the water – await on the west coast of the continent.

Queen Elizabeth
• 39 ports
• 25 countries
• 4 maiden calls
• Overnight stays in New York, San Francisco, Sydney and Cape Town
• Transits of the Suez Canal and the Inland Sea and Kanmon straits, Japan
• Iconic city waterfronts; Cape Town, Sydney, Hong Kong, Shanghai and San Francisco
• 11 UNESCO World Heritage Sites

Queen Elizabeth offers passengers the chance to experience the classic world voyage, a western circumnavigation of the globe featuring a transit of the iconic Panama Canal. This voyage offers a once-in-alifetime array of some of the world’s greatest cities and their landmarks; sail under the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset and gaze upon majestic Table Mountain as the ship approaches Cape Town.

Papua New Guinea maiden call
Following her Australian visit, Queen Elizabeth makes a maiden call to Papua New Guinea, calling into Alotau, a place adorned with white beaches and scene of the fierce World War II Battle of Milne Bay.

20-night Singapore to Cape Town
Leaving Singapore, Queen Elizabeth reaches Colombo, capital of extraordinarily beautiful Sri Lanka. Port Victoria on the island of Mahé is the capital of the idyllic Seychelles. To the south, Mauritius’ beauty, from soft sand beaches, a French influence to the legacy of the dodo, await Réunion is more rugged: scenic roads and dusty plains could lead you up to see the cone of its active volcano.

First discoveries in South Africa will be in and around Port Elizabeth. Spotting big cats, giraffe and elephants may well be at the top of the sightseeing agenda, and Addo Elephant National Park or any number of game reserves duly oblige.

Transpacific Experience
Reaching Honolulu, enjoy the traditional hula welcome complete with leis, or garlands of flowers. Or descend 30 metres underwater in a submarine ride. After the phenomenon of ‘losing’ an entire day as you cross the International Date Line, you’ll reach Nuku’alofa, the capital of the kingdom of Tonga. Polynesia’s only monarchy is made up of 170 islands of powdery beaches, whistling blowholes and sacred flying foxes asleep in trees.
