Paul Gauguin Cruises 2020-2021

View Ships View Most Popular Cruises View Cruises

Paul Gauguin Cruises 2019-2021 In August 2019 Paul Gauguin Cruises was acquired by Ponant Yacht Cruises, a luxury explorer line with nine ships that sail from the Arctic to the Antarctic. Paul Gauguin Cruises operates the luxury cruise ship the m/s Paul Gauguin hosting 332 guests. The Gauguin is purpose-built to cruise French Polynesia with its 118 islands and atolls, five island groups, and currently 16 anchor sites; also the rest of the South Pacific; and even Bali. Its shallow draft enables the vessel to anchor in out-of-the-way places. Guests are couples and single travellers, typically over 50. On selected voyages young travellers can participate in an inclusive hands-on Explorer Program mentored by specialists. The crew knows Polynesian waters intimately, revealing fully the natural beauty of these archipelagos. The line emphasises personalised service and enrichment programs.

The Gauguin is the only vessel that offers year-round itineraries in the Society, Tuamotu and Marquesas Islands, three of the five island groups of French Polynesia. (Recall that Tahiti is one of the Society Islands, with its capital Papeete.) Major renovations in 2012 assure you of outstanding comfort and surrounds. Cuisine and service are five-star and fares are all-inclusive of drinks, gratuities and marina equipment (just bring your own SCUBA gear). The cruise line offers itineraries of 7 to 14 nights, excellent onshore excursions (most pay-extra), and pre/post land packages. Condé Nast Traveler awarded the line Gold List – The World’s Best Cruises 2018.
