Laguna San Rafael, on the southern Pacific coast of Chile, is a small bay at the far south end of the Moraleda Channel. It is connected to the sea through the Témpano Channel. Its main attraction is the San Rafael Glacier, a wall of ancient ice over 40km long, coming down the 4,000m high Mount San Valentín, which is part of the Northern Patagonian Icefield.
