Qikiqtarjuaq (‘Qik’ for short), formerly known as Broughton Island, is a Nunavut community (population around 520) on the island of the same name, in the Canadian territory of Nunavut. Qikiqtarjuaq Island lies 1.5 km off the coast of Baffin Island, and is just inside the Arctic Circle on the west side of Davis Strait. Greenland is 430 km to the east.
