Praslin is the second largest island of the Seychelles, lying 44 km NE of Mahe. Curieuse Island is a small granitic island in the Seychelles off the north coast of Praslin, the second largest island in the Seychelles. Aride is the northernmost granitic island in the Seychelles archipelago of 115 islands. (There are two coral sand cays north of Aride: Denis and Bird.) The archipelago is set on a raised plateau in the Indian Ocean, with an average waster depth of just 60 m. Alphonse Atoll is one of two islands in the Alphonse Group, in the Outer Islands of the Seychelles Archipelago, Western Indian Ocean. The island has fewer than 100 inhabits, and is actually 400km from Mahé, the main city and island of the Seychelles. This beautiful atoll is nearly 7km across, with a large central lagoon. The Farquhar Atoll is part of the Farquhar Group of islands in the Seychelles that are part of the Outer Islands.
