Norman Island is just 600 acres in area, uninhabited and privately owned, located at the southern tip of the British Virgin Islands archipelago. It was the inspiration for Robert Louis Stevenson's pirate novel Treasure Island and has a documented history of pirate booty being buried ashore and hidden in the cliff-face sea caves. Anegada is the northernmost of the British Virgin Islands, a group of islands that forms part of the archipelago of the Virgin Islands. To the north is the Atlantic Ocean, the deep Puerto Rico Trench, the Sargasso Sea, and the Bermuda Triangle. Falmouth is a coastal town on the SW of the island of Antigua, one half of the twin-island nation of Antigua and Barbuda in the Leeward Islands, Eastern Caribbean. The country was named by Christopher Columbus in 1493. (In September 2017 Barbuda, 42 km to the north, was 95% decimated by Hurricane Irma.) Soufrière is a town on the SW coast of the British colonial island of Saint Lucia, in the West Indies.
