Candice went on her very first cruise to the Bahamas while she was on a family holiday in the US. She had no expectations as the cruise was a surprise, booked by her aunt for the family. She fell in love with the whole cruise experience from day one, and one year later, she was happy to have stumbled upon a job working for a cruise company. She now has more than 10 years of experience in the cruise industry. Candice is happy to be a new member of the Clean Cruising team, and she love to share her knowledge and passion for cruising.
What is your favourite cruise destination you visited & why?
The Mediterranean—such an efficient way to see Europe! Every day you are in a beautiful new port, and there is so much variety of things to see and experience. From driving through lavender fields in the picturesque Marseille, to being amazed by the La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona and cruising through to the stunning Amalfi Coast. You could do the same cruise again and have a completely different experience each time!
What is your favourite cruise ship & why?
Crown Princess is Candice's favourite as this is where she spent her honeymoon cruise to the Mediterranean. This was the first time she had stayed in a mini-suite and was the longest cruise she had ever done. The highlights were the frozen margaritas during sailaway and a delicious selection of food.
Favourite cruise tip you give your clients
Pre-book your shore excursions, the most popular ones often sell out even before the cruise starts and it is not always possible for new departures to be added. When you first get onboard, walk around the whole ship to get your bearings on where everything is located. Check the daily newsletter every day and do as much as you like or as little as you like. Your experience is completely up to you.
