Oceania Sonata – A new chapter in refined voyaging.

Oceania Sonata is the first ship in Oceania Cruises’ new Sonata Class, launching in 2027 and introducing a fresh era of refined, small-ship cruising.

Designed and built by Fincantieri in Italy, she will welcome approximately 1,390 guests, offering a spacious yet intimate onboard atmosphere. As the ninth ship in the Oceania fleet, Oceania Sonata builds on the line’s long-standing reputation for destination immersion and exceptional cuisine while introducing new design concepts and enhanced suite accommodation.

Oceania Sonata represents the next evolution of Oceania Cruises, blending elegant design with the line’s signature focus on immersive itineraries and culinary excellence. While larger than the line’s Marina and Allura Class ships, she retains the welcoming, uncrowded feel that loyal Oceania guests value. Her public spaces are being thoughtfully designed to feel residential and refined, with light-filled lounges, comfortable gathering areas and contemporary finishes that invite guests to settle in and unwind.

Her inaugural seasons are set to explore sought-after regions, including the Mediterranean and Caribbean, with itineraries designed to maximise time ashore. For Australian travellers seeking longer, culturally rich journeys, Oceania Sonata offers the kind of immersive exploration that makes each voyage feel meaningful and memorable.

Guests can expect elegantly appointed Veranda Staterooms with private balconies, generous bathrooms and plush bedding that makes retreating at the end of the day feel effortless.
