Regal Princess Cruises
The Regal Princess is one of Princess’ four Royal-Class ships and is the second ship to sail for the cruise line under that name. Launched in May 2014 and refurbished shortly after in 2017 she is a stunning ship. One of the largest in the Princess fleet, she offers a lot of new entertainment options for the cruise line. Her décor is warm and elevated with marble tones and plenty of rich wood panelling . The Piazza, which is a hallmark of the line and is grand and has 3 bold spiral staircases. The Regal Princess also has a pool deck which is one of the largest in the fleet where they hold a lot of the water and light shows. Along with Royal Princess and Majestic Princess, these three are the largest ships built by Princess Cruises, at 142,229 GT and carrying 3,560 passengers. Offering 1,400 balcony cabins on the ship, Regal Princess and her sisters offer an incredible setting from which to enjoy the wonders of the world . Onboard entertainment and facilities are state-of-the-art for cruise ships - the ship itself is a cruise destination. New features aboard include the SeaWalk, an enclosed walkway extending from the ship’s top deck, and the cantilevered SeaView Bar, each with glass floors and sweeping ocean views. There is the upper-deck pool, The Sanctuary, exclusively for adults, featuring plush private cabanas The top-deck pool is in fact Princess’ largest ever, offering a dazzling evening water and light show.
Regal Princess is part of Princess' Medallion Class of ships, which makes use of the innovative OceanMedallion technology. The system includes a wearable OceanMedallion, which is used to make purchases and automatically unlock your cabin door when you approach it. Combined with a robust smartphone app that lets passengers send messages and locate each other on the ship, as well as navigate their way to onboard venues, this technology can help make your cruise experience just as you want it. While this new technology represents a major evolution for the line, Princess fans will still find the things they love about the cruise line onboard this ship. The overall vibe is relaxing and fun - exactly what you want a cruise holiday to be. Aboard you’ll find this ship attracts a lot of families and multi-generational groups as well as mature couples.The Regal Princess has a casual feel through the day, resort style attire with shorts, swimsuits as the norm and in the evening, it is still resort casual attire. They do however hold formal nights on the ship and depending on how long the cruise is will depend on how many of the nights are formal. In the dining rooms, items such as shorts, pool wear, distressed jeans and baseball caps are not permitted; shoes must be worn at all times.
