Debuting in 2001 and refurbished in 2018, at 91,740 GT carrying 2,348 passengers, this large vessel was custom-built for freestyle dining – “whenever you want, with whomever you choose” – in its 10 restaurants and 11 bars and lounges. Inside décor is bright to attract the young and active.The ship is particularly suited to families, indeed it is a floating leisure centre. Watch your extra costs as they mount up. Accept the usual queues that come with a large ship. The level of hospitality is very good. All ages are well catered for. Dress is casual. The cheery and welcoming staff range over more than 60 nationalities.

The freestyle dining in twelve traditional and alternative locations means you can eat anywhere, anytime, in formal or casual dress: but this means making reservations. At the Versailles Main Dining Room, set with chandeliers and grand piano, you’ll enjoy a five-course traditional meal prepared by master chefs who are members of the Chaine des Rotisserus. The other main dining room is Aqua, with a lighter cuisine.

The Blue Lagoon is a 24-hour food court, and another family-friendly site is Market Café serving a variety of ethnic specialties. Alternative dining with cover charges are: Asian foods at Ginza, Cagney’s Steak House, pasta at La Cucina, the new South America BBQ Churrascaria, and Japanese food – Sushi, Sashimi and Teppanyaki. Also there’s Pizza 24/7, delivered anywhere on board, and also to your cabin for a small charge.

Bars
Pre-dinner drinks are available at a range of bars throughout the ship. The nine bars and lounges provide live music with dance floors, nightclub and disco venues for adults and youths.
Entertainment
The two-story Stardust Theatre offers Las-Vegas-style razzle-dazzle production shows, cabaret acts and comedy. Many bands and solo musicians provide dance music and entertainment throughout the ship.
Activities
The ship also features library, internet café, games room, cinema, casino, and a really comfortable writing room. During sea days, apart from the usual activities, are lifestyle-improvement presentations on health and fitness. The wide range of fitness and recreation services includes an indoor lap-pool, fitness classes, gymnasium, courts, beautiful spa, six hot tubs, a lap pool, and adults-only pool.
Health & Fitness
The Mandara Spa spans two decks. It will offer the largest thermal suite on the seas. Warm up on one of 17 heated lounges, the steam room or dry sauna, and then enter the snow room, kept between -6 degrees. and 0 degrees. A white powder drizzling down through the day, is aimed at stimulating blood circulation to build up the immune system. More than 50 signature spa treatment services will be on offer for both men and women.

Facilities and activities for youngsters are outstanding. Children have their own pool and wet 'n' wild water park. Teenagers have their own meeting places at Wipe Out Teen's Club and Video Arcade. This is a real family ship.

Cabins

All cabins have tea/coffee making facilities, rich timber cabinets, television channels and movies, mini-fridge, separate toilet and enclosed shower, European duvets, and Elemis personal amenities. Two single beds can combine to make a double bed. Cabins have bunk beds to accommodate four, and some have inter-connecting doors for families. The ocean-view cabins have a large rectangular porthole. Balcony staterooms accommodate a third person on a sofa bed. These rooms are larger (specially those facing aft) with a sitting area and full height glass doors opening to a private balcony.

All suites are lavishly furnished, have bath and shower, and come with butlers who can serve all meals in-suite. Mini-suites accommodate four. Deluxe Owner’s Suites (for 4-6) include a living room, dining room, king-size bed and whirlpool tub. The two-bedroom family suites accommodate six with a separate children’s bedroom. Distinctive features of this vessel are the 3-bedroom Garden Villa staterooms. They are among the largest at sea and come with living room, dining room, baby grand piano, outdoor dining area and terrace, private garden, and three separate bedrooms each with king or queen-size bed, private luxury bath (overlooking the ocean) and CD/DVD library. Two bedrooms also feature a full bath with whirlpool tub and separate shower.)
