Taking her maiden voyage in 2004, the Westerdam can carry up to 1916 passengers with a 82,348 GT. The ship has seven formal to casual dining areas. The two-deck main Dining Room serves open-seating breakfast and lunch. For dinner chose between set-seating at first or second servings, or open seating on the upper deck. There are two alternative restaurants, best to reserve in advance: The pay extra Pinnacle Grill for steaks and seafood (and occasionally the Pinnacle – Le Cirque), and the Italian-American-influenced Canaletto (with no service charge).

The Lido Restaurant, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, has two serving lines during the day offering food cooked à la minute, and at night opens as a popular and casual bistro. Outside meal times it serves sandwiches, ice cream, and special late-night offerings. Additionally there are pool-side burgers, hot dogs, Mexican food, and a coffee bar.

The Greenhouse Spa & Salon on the ship offers spa treatments, a thermal pool and lounge and a variety of salon services. The fully equipped Fitness Center includes state-of-the-art cardio and weight machines, as well as classes in Yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling and more. On deck enjoy two outdoor pools, along with basketball and practice tennis courts.
Holland America Line's graceful, mid-sized ships are known for their generous amount of personal space. All staterooms feature luxurious Sealy® Premium Euro-Top mattresses, fine linens and towels, premium massage showerheads and Elemis Aromapure bath products. And you're going to love the inspired enhancements to suites.

Cabins

Staterooms are spacious, and include: Interior large and standard; Ocean-view, some with panoramic windows; and three levels of suites – Signature, Neptune and Pinnacle. Basic features include a flat-panel television and DVD player (book your DVDs by phone), ample storage, personal safe, excellent twin/queen bedding and bath amenities, fresh fruit on request, and nightly turn down service. The décor is very pleasing and comfortable. Complimentary meals can be ordered for in-suite dining around the clock.

Triple and quad cabins are available, as well as interconnecting cabins for up to six guests. Many staterooms are modified accessible and wheelchair accessible. There are no single cabins. Suites are significantly larger, lavish, and come with a full-size bath. The sitting area has a double sofa bed. The Pinnacle and Neptune Suites have the services of a personal concierge and access to the private Neptune Lounge with large screen TV, library, sofas, and socialising with other suite guests. Extra amenities include priority boarding and dining requests, complimentary laundry and pressing services, and a cocktail party with ship officers. Pinnacle Suites have in addition a microwave oven, pantry for meal preparation, whirlpool bath for four, and of course so much extra space plus balcony.)

Once you have paid for your Westerdam cruise in full, Holland America reccormends that guests download the Holland America Line Navigator App and complete the check-in process. Download the Holland America Line Navigator App on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Once completed you can review and book services available to guests, check out events and shore excursions planned for your trip.
WHAT ACTIVITIES DOES THE WESTERDAM HAVE FOR CHILDREN?
The Westerdam has a youth activities program supervised by professionally trained staff. The Kids Club has been split into 3 age-appropriate groups:
- Kids Program [Ages 3 - 6 years old] - highlights include arts & crafts, games and theme parties, such as “Dino-Mite Night” and “Ships Ahoy Pirate Treasure Hunt Adventure.”
- Tweens Program [Ages 7 - 11 years old] - highlights include sporting events, gaming tournaments and theme parties, tweens will have plenty to enjoy.
- Teens Program [Ages 12 - 17 years old] - highlights include sport challenges, group games and exclusive teen events like Poker Nights and Video Game Tournaments.
WHAT ARE THE SHIP RULES YOU NEED TO FOLLOW ON THE WESTERDAM?
- You must attend the safety drill.
- No smoking indoors or on cabin balconies.
- No underage drinking.
- No sneaking drugs or alcohol onboard.
- No rowdy behaviour.
- No guests in crew areas.
- No nappies in the pools.
- No reserving lounge chairs.
- No climbing on railings.
- No taking of food and drink from the cruise ship.
- No flames such as candles in your cabins.
- No drones.
- No weapons.
- Return to the ship on time on shore days.
