Cruises from Taka Bonerate National Park
Taka Bonerate National Park is a marine park located in the Flores Sea, Indonesia. South Sulawesi Island lies to the north, and Flores Island to the south. The park includes the Takabonerate atoll islands and was granted its status in 1992. In 2015 the park was included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.
The atoll is the third largest in the world. Taka Bone Rate means 'coral islands over sand'. The table reefs cover 530,000 hectares and enclose a lagoon. Of the 21 islands, eight are inhabited. Fifteen of the islands are bases for diving and snorkelling.
