Cruises from Miquelon
Miquelon Island is part of the archipelago of Saint Pierre and Miquelon, an Overseas Collectivity of France. The archipelago consists of eight small islands, two of which are inhabited. They lie 20 km off the SW coast of the Canadian island of Newfoundland, and are the only part of the French North American Empire that remains under French control. Miquelon actually consists of Grande Miquelon (110 sq.km.), the northern part of a hour-glass shaped double island, the southern part being Petite Miquelon. Read more
The small St Pierre Island, the administrative centre of the archipelago, lies 3.5 km off the SE coast of Miquelon, separated by a strait that entombs over 600 shipwrecks.
