Cruises from Hellesylt
Hellesylt, lying at the head of the Sunnylvsfjord on the NW coast of Norway, is a small village that was once an old Viking port. Here, glacier-fed streams cascade over towering granite cliffs and descend to the calm waters of the fjord. The thundering waterfalls, snow-capped mountains, lakes and crystalline glaciers, are amazing scenes that will provide memories to last a lifetime. Indeed the Hellesylt waterfall gushes right through the centre of the town and is a photographer’s dream.
Hellesylt is an often-overlooked area of Norway. The locals are very helpful to travellers, and the area is largely fluent in English.
