Guaymas is a port city and a municipality in the Mexican state of Sonora, 390km south of the border with USA. It stands on a small bay on the Gulf of California, near the mouth of the Río Yaqui. It is a port city for ships to many places in the world, as well as being a major naval port for the Mexican military and having an industrial zone.
