Cruises from Eilat
Eilat is Israel's southernmost city, a busy port as well as a popular resort, located at the northern tip of the Red Sea in the Gulf of Eilat/Aqaba. The Egyptian village of Taba is 9km to the south, the Jordanian port city of Aqaba 5km to the east, and Saudi Arabia is visible 22km to the south across the gulf. Known for snorkelling and diving, Coral Beach Nature Reserve has buoy-marked underwater trails among fish-filled reefs. Nearby Coral World Underwater Observatory Marine Park has a glass-enclosed observation centre submerged offshore.
Today Eilat is a paradise for tourists, travellers and vacationers.
