Cruises from Dragon Hill, Santa Cruz
Dragon Hill - Cerro Dragón - is on the NW coast of Santa Cruz, an island in the Galápagos archipelago, Ecuador. Lying one kilometre inland, it rises symmetrically to a point 120 m high. It is so named because it is inhabited by many sizeable land iguanas – yellow, brown and orange. Indeed, there are both land and sea iguanas.
It’s wise to wear closed and comfortable walking shoes as well as a hat, so that after landing by Zodiac, visitors can concentrate on looking for giant cacti, iguanas, flamingos, pelicans, sea lions, colourful lizards, Darwin finches, and Great Blue Herons.
