Lindblad Expeditions 2020-2021

View Ships View Most Popular Cruises View Cruises

Lindblad Expeditions 2019-2021 Lindblad Expeditions operates in partnership with the National Geographic Society, operating nine expedition ships. The company draws its guests close to the environment with the involvement of expert photographers, specialist team members, remote underwater camera, Zodiacs, scuba diving gear, ice hulls and shallow draft. Their ‘Australian’ ship National Geographic Orion operates in the North Pacific (Alaska and Russia), South Pacific (French Polynesia, Easter & Pitcairn islands), Patagonia and Antarctica. With 102 passengers and 75 crew, personal attention enables each guest to participate onshore or in the water. Itineraries will take you to locations with no special berthing facilities, and you won’t meet with regular tourists. Guests will be like-minded travellers with a desire for adventure. Lindblad-NG also charters river boats (Amazon and Mekong, Scotland’s lochs, and Adriatic/Aegean Seas), and tall ship for Caribbean and Mediterranean.

National Geographic Orion has been refitted for Lindblad-National Geographic, and comes with additional photographic accoutrements and experts. The new branding, however, builds on the already highly-regarded heritage and itineraries of Orion. While many of NG Orion's passengers hail from Australia, many North Americans will join her clientele. Guests tend to be mature, well-travelled, adventurous, and tolerant of mild discomforts that come with exploring. Yet this is exploring with five-star luxury. Dining is buffet for breakfast and lunch, and à la carte dinners served open seating. Expect local ingredients prepared by top chefs. Life on board is casual. And a by-word of the Company is, We take our stewardship of our environment seriously and sustainably. Awards include Conde Nast Traveler 2018 Gold List - The World’s Best Cruises: Antarctica, South Georgia and the Falklands aboard National Geographic Orion.
