APT in partnership with AmaWaterways offers an array of excellent cruise holidays with 20 luxury ships on the rivers of Europe in 2020, with an average age of six years. Originally a partnership between family-owned Australia Pacific Touring (APT) and world river cruise specialist Amadeus Waterways, most of the ships are now custom built by APT in Holland by the world's experts. The vessels are spacious, award-winning, luxurious, with longer-tour options. Fares are all-inclusive of sight-seeing, nightly entertainment, meals, beverages, on-shore bicycles, transfers, and all gratuities. Premium cruises are more affordable than Luxury cruises. Dining allows for a variety of seven options. Of 310 river ships, Berlitz River Cruising in Europe 2018 awarded all the top 10 ships to APT Cruises for the second year, in the categories of accommodations, facilities, cuisine, and hospitality! At the 2019 AFTA National Travel Industry Awards, APT was crowned Best River Cruise Operator.

Staterooms are well equipped (at 15.8 m2 and around 80% have French balconies) with a deluxe queen size bed, ensuite bathroom, Infotainment system, and wireless Internet. The 10 Concerto Class vessels have ‘twin balconies’ – an outdoor area, and an inside conservatory that opens. An elevator services the two balcony decks that also contain the main dining room, lounges and bar, library, salon and fitness centre. The common language onboard the vessels is English with staff from all over Europe. In Russia the staff is mostly Russian and Ukrainian. All cruises link with pre- and post-tours to major cities and sights. Most passengers are Australian, New Zealanders, American and Canadian. Awards include Fodor’s Travel 2019 “Best River Cruise” Runner-up.
