Cruises from Sydney

Sydney, the capital of New South Wales is located on the east coast of Australia. It is the most popular city to visit as it is best known for the iconic Sydney Harbour, amazing beaches, lush national parks and world-class restaurants. With Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House located around Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and the beautiful botanic gardens to the west and Australia’s iconic Bondi Beach to the east, Sydney is certainly one place you don’t want to miss out on!

Getting around Sydney is easy and accessible. You can jump on a train from Sydney airport to Circular Quay in approx.18 minutes, ride the hop on hop off bus around the city that offers multiple stops including Sydney Tower, Botanic Gardens, Australian Powerhouse and Maritime Museums, Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge or the Bondi bus. If travelling on the water is more your style, catch a ferry to visit Sydney’s amusement park, Luna Park, visit the buzzing Manly Beach wharf which is linked to the Corso mall or cruise west of the city to join a Haunted History, Crooked Character or Convict Precinct tour at UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, Cockatoo Island. The best times to visit Sydney are September through November and from March to May as they offer the most comfortable temperatures, around mid 20°C. Read more

Generally a sunny climate, with beautiful warm summer days and cool winters. It is always best to take a hat, bring sunscreen and a water bottle just in case. Majority of the cruise ships depart from Overseas Passenger Terminal located at Circular Quay. The other terminal is White Bay Cruise Terminal located in Rozelle. Whether you are departing or arriving, these two cruise terminals offer great views of Sydney Harbour and Opera House plus you will cruise past The Heads, the stunning sandstone cliffs also known as Port Jackson. Circular Quay is easily accessible. You can take the train from the airport, take a taxi, or you can arrange a cruiseline operated transfer to the doorstep of the cruise terminal. White Bay Cruise Terminal is about a 20-30 minute drive from Sydney Airport. The best way to get there is a cruiseline operated transfer, by taxi or by ferry from Circular Quay.
