Costa Cruises is a British-American owned Italian cruise line based in Genoa, Italy. Fourteen vessels provide holidays in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Caribbean, South America, Indian Ocean, Middle East, and Far East. Ships range from 3 to 3.5 star, and cater well to young couples and singles, as well as families with young children. Three vessels (Serena, Victoria, Atlantica) are based year-round in Shanghai since April 2015. Children have a range of play activities from their new Spin Master program. Artworks and hand-crafted furnishings play an important role in setting the onboard atmosphere. Cabin and dining room stewards are multi-national and English-speaking.

Features of Costa are its port-intensive itineraries, and its evening entertainment. On board these Italian cruise ships you'll find a broad mix of European passengers throughout the European programs, and a cross-section of North and Latin American guests aboard Caribbean cruises. Staterooms come in four categories: Classic on lower decks; Premium on upper decks; Samsara near the spa, with unlimited spa access; and highest-level Suites with extras such as priority boarding. Onboard smoking is now restricted to designated areas. Costa vessels were awarded ‘Best Mediterranean Itineraries 2014’ by Porthole Cruise Magazine Readers’ Choice.
