Corfu, Greece
Corfu Island, located just off the west coast of Greece, boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the Greek Isles. With its impressive landscapes, rich vegetation, long golden beaches, the elegant capital Corfu Town, and many traditional villages, it is not surprising that this island receives many visitors each year.

The capital is possibly most impressive, due to the Venetian, French and English civilisations that are remembered for the architectural elements they have left behind.

The island has a great variety of excellent beaches, but if you want more than water sports, hire a car and visit the 1,000m high Mount Pantokrator to enjoy breathtaking views, and visit the old town of Kerkyra. Other places to visit include: the deserted village of Old Perithia; the island’s most treasured beauty spot, Paleokastrista; or if you have children, Aqualand. Be sure to eat at one of the restaurants, as Corfu is all about food and wine.

Trieste, Italy
Trieste is a modern lively city, yet much of its former grandeur is still clearly apparent in the form of imposing buildings with neo-classical facades. It became a part of Italy at the break-up of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918. Trieste has often been referred to as Vienna by the Sea.

The Basilica di San Silvestro, standing atop the Colle Capitolino hill, is a tourist attraction that can't be missed. Equally impressive is the Trieste Cathedral that presides over the Piazza della Cattedrale. Family attractions include the Aquarium and the spa centre of L'Ausonia. The medieval quarter of the Old Town has some of the best sight-seeing, while the Canal Grande in the New Town district is not to be missed.

Zadar, Croatia
Zadar is a Croatian city located not far away from Sibenik. It is a several thousands of years old town and it was the capital of Dalmatia for many centuries. Several layers of city walls with their attractive and impressive entries dating back to the 165th century, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque monuments as well as a preserved collection of church silver and gold, all bear witness to the city's tumultuous past.

Visit the old town and absorb the atmosphere of the rich history, while viewing the delightful marble streets, fascinating architecture and the famous churches, each one with a story to tell.

If at all possible, organise to take a stroll along the paved seafront and enjoy a coffee at one of the cafes on Zadar’s Riva, while listening to the unusual sounds of the Sea Organ that is set in the harbour wall. This man-made organ works with the motion of the waves and 35 pipes to create a musical soundscape. Accompanied by a light display that creates visualisations of the sounds being produced by the organ, it is not surprising that it is a great favourite among locals and visitors alike.

Bodrum, Turkey
Bodrum Peninsula is located in the Aegean region of Turkey. The Aegean Coast is an extraordinary place, with its immense unspoilt coastline and warm climate which offers all year round sunshine. The place where the first Christian Church was built, and where the art of wine making was developed, it boasts astonishing historical sites and natural wonders, which rival any other place in the world.

Well worth visiting is the Castle of St. Peter, which is visible on arrival, and was originally used as a fortress. It now houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, which chronicles the history of shipwrecks off the Turkish Coast. You could take a boat tour to various stations along the harbour, or enjoy a walk, sit on a bench, and simply enjoy the view of townspeople relaxing, and the beautiful Aegean Sea. With a range of cuisines at fantastic and reasonably priced restaurants, we encourage you try the local food! Bodrum and its environs etch a special place in everyone's heart.

Kotor, Montenegro
Located along one of Montenegro's most beautiful bays is picturesque Kotor. The bay is the deepest natural inlet in the Adriatic Sea, and the scenery around it is spectacular. Its well-preserved Old Town - surrounded by an impressive city wall - nestles at the head of southern Europe’s deepest sunken river valley. It is typical of the middle Age cities built between the 12th and 14th century. Medieval architecture and numerous monuments of cultural heritage have made Kotor a UNESCO listed World Natural and Historical Heritage Site.

Architecture around Kotor provides evidence of a dozen cultures spanning a dozen centuries, and even the modern shopping centre Kamelija Kotor combines traditional and modern features. Cars cannot enter old town, but there are some golfcarts that are used as taxis. Bicycles are also available, but most see the city on foot.

Barcelona,Spain
Barcelona, located in Catalonia Spain, is Europe's largest metropolis on the Mediterranean coast, and one of the world’s major global cities. Today, Barcelona balances itself on the cutting edge of architecture, intellectual life, and style. The ‘Gothic Quarter’ is the centre of the old city of Barcelona, where many of the buildings date as far back as the Roman settlement.

An outstanding example of this is the immense, remarkable, but still unfinished church of the Sagrada Família, which has been under construction since 1882, with completion planned for 2026.

It's made up of many small neighbourhoods, full of old-world character, linked by narrow, winding streets. Students, foreigners and artists thrive in this area, attracted by its sense of history and cosmopolitan feel, along with its trendy bars, concert halls and good restaurants.
