Meet the Cunard Queens

Meet the Cunard Queens
Cunard Line is a British-American company based in Southampton, and a leading operator of trans-Atlantic routes. Cunard is a luxury brand trading on its British traditions and display of maritime history. Its vessels, with trademark red and black funnels, are the cruise ships MS Queen Victoria and MS Queen Elizabeth, and ocean liner RMS Queen Mary 2, one of the most luxurious ships at sea

Each vessel has a regal air showcasing grand atriums, promenade shopping arcades and choice of dining options based on cabin accommodations. The royal atmosphere guests experience is exemplified by afternoon tea, a white-glove affair served in the lovely two-deck-high Queens Room.

Cunard
Cunard is synonymous with elegance, luxury and its renowned White Star Service which sets the standard by which all others are judged. Cunard's commitment to ensuring each guest is pampered begins at the White Star Academy where each crew member is trained to provide impeccable service.

Queen Mary 2
Queen Mary 2, affectionately known as QM2, was famous even before her first sailing and a worthy heir to Cunard's rich legacy. As the flagship of the world's most respected fleet of luxury ocean liners, you'll delight in her accommodation and renowned restaurants, her breathtaking Grand Lobby and the amazing array of unsurpassed amenities she offers.

She is the largest ocean liner ever built (three cruise ships are larger) and is faster than any cruise ship (at 56 kph). She is also the only ship still sailing a Transatlantic cruise schedule each year.

Queen Mary 2
She is one of the few ships of today with remnants of a class system, linking staterooms with dining venues, and guests can bring their pets for the voyage. This vessel offers the finest grandeur and décor of any ship built to date, allowing ordinary cruise travellers to feel like royalty for a week or two.

Amenities include state-of-the-art gym, the largest ballroom at sea in the Queens Room, lavish musicals in the Royal Court Theatre. One the other hand, some of the most memorable times will be those times on deck, spent reading, talking with other guests, or simply watching the sea pass by.

Queen Victoria
Queen Victoria, also known as QV, is a true Cunarder — with all the regal, breathtaking splendour you would imagine from a luxury Cunard ocean liner, combined with an airy, contemporary ambience. As you embark, you'll encounter the dramatic three-tier Grand Lobby, whose magnificent staircase and eye-catching artwork offers an exceptional taste of life aboard this ship.

She is best suited to couples and single travellers who enjoy features of dressing up for dinner and a British ambiance.

Queen Victoria
After dining attend the theatre's West-End-style entertainment or waltz the evening away. On the upper decks are the Royal Spa and Fitness Centre, two outdoor pools, lounges and alternative dining areas. Service at all times and in all locations is impeccable Cunard standard.

Queen Elizabeth
Queen Elizabeth is Cunard's newest luxury ocean liner, named in October 2010 by Her Majesty the Queen. Recalling the rich heritage of the first Cunarder to bear the name, her elegance echoes that legendary age and enhances her modern allure.

All cabins reflect conservative British decor, and come with excellent bedding, universal electrical sockets, toiletries and hairdryer. The perks and increased service of Grill-class accommodation are worth it.

Queen Elizabeth
There is a range of magnificently presented bars and lounges available according to accommodation. Cunard host its "Supper Club" - afternoon teas, dancing, music and taster menus - in the Garden Lounge conservatory beneath its lofty domed roof. Cafe Caranthia serves special teas and pastries.

For sweeping views of the bow, and a martini, the Commodore Club welcomes you. The Midships Bar with its pianist is a place for pre-dinner drinks. The Yacht Club offers cosy seating, good wine, and a dance floor.
