From the first time I rang Clean Cruising and spoke with Sally, everything went smoothly. Sally was great, and nothing was too much trouble for her. I will definitely be booking through Clean Cruising again. I would also recommend them to friends and family. Thank you for your time and effort."

Wind Star Overview

Wind Star alternates between the Panama region and the Eastern Mediterranean, crossing the Atlantic twice yearly around March and November. The Central America cruises of seven nights visit ports in Costa Rica and Panama, with a daylight crossing of the Panama Canal – an outstanding scenic cruise. Wet landings are made by Zodiac, and guided by a naturalist explore rainforests, beaches, animal life, and zipline. The transatlantic crossings of 14 days, between Bridgetown and Lisbon, allow you time to rest, enjoy the luxurious features of the vessel, see myriads of stars at night, chat with officers on the Bridge, and strike up friendships with fellow guests. Mediterranean cruises from April to November range from 7 to 13 nights. Cruises are mostly round trips from Athens to the Greek isles, and Kusadasi to see the ruins of ancient Ephesus.

Accommodation

All 74 staterooms have twin-porthole ocean views, queen or twin beds with leather headboards, stately armchairs, linen wall coverings, plush wool carpeting, and stylish bedding. All staterooms are the same, with twin portholes and no verandas. Staterooms (18 sq.m.) have in-cabin entertainment that includes 10 TV/movie channels, DVD player, and a dock for Apple iPod. Comforts include robes, L’Occitane bath toiletries, granite counter tops, make-up mirror and dryer, controllable AC and mini-bar (charges apply). Some staterooms have a third berth, and/or adjoining doors. Cabin service is 24-hour. Communicate with ship-to-shore telephone (charges apply).

Food and Dining

The single sitting in AmphorA Restaurant, classy with wood tones and ocean views, serves signature dishes and nouvelle cuisine, whenever and with whom you wish. Vegetarian and dietary requests are entertained. Menus highlight local dishes and seafood’s. For breakfast and lunch the Veranda is both a self-serve indoor-outdoor buffet, or a full-service restaurant, with fine ocean views. The Pool Bar serves a lighter breakfast (and snacks late afternoon).

Entertainment

The real entertainment is on-shore, and your activities depend on region and port. On board, enjoy live music in The Lounge and local entertainment when available. The small library is stocked with DVDs and CDs, books and board games. The Casino offers slot machines, blackjack and poker tables. Much of your entertainment will be with fellow-travellers, new acquaintances, who share an interest in cruising and relate accounts of the ports they have visited. Many evenings are spent in port.
