    View of St George's, Grenada

St. George's is the capital of Grenada, British West Indies. The city surrounds a horseshoe-shaped harbour, and is an attractive colonial-era town with a distinctly Mediterranean feel that appears to spill down the hill side. When a ship arrives at the new docks, the town explodes into a frenzy of activity, market stalls open up on shore, restaurants and bars fill up, and street vendors as well as local guides come out in force. (Interestingly, Cristóbal Colón is the Spanish translation for Christopher Columbus.) The port, Old Cristóbal, was first built by the Panama Railroad Company in the 1850s, and dredged material became landfill for the present Cristóbal. From 1904 the town was the port of entry for construction equipment and materials, most canal workers, and supplies and provisions. Read more about Cristobal, Panama

    9 Monday, May 2, 2022 Cozumel, Mexico 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
    View of Cozumel, Mexico

Cozumel is a Caribbean island just off the Yucatan Peninsula in SE Mexico. It has grown steadily over the years since Jacques Cousteau first put the island on the map as a sea turtle sanctuary. While it has great beaches, friendly people and safe streets, with prices comparable to other Mexican tourist destinations, most visitors travel to Cozumel to see what is under the water. However, there are Mayan archaeological ruins of interest at Tulum, Coba and Chichen Itza, the first two maybe within a day’s guided tour. Read more about Cozumel, Mexico

Galveston is a coastal city on Galveston Island in the US state of Texas. It is known for the hurricane that devastated the city in 1900, that is still regarded as the deadliest natural disaster in American history. This event has given rise to something unique to the island - the tree sculptures - fascinating works of art created from the trees that were damaged in the hurricane. Possessing all the delights of a small southern town, it is also home to one of the largest and well-preserved concentrations of Victorian architecture in the country. Read more about Galveston, USA
