Mojiko is a ward of the city of Kitakyushu, and a major trading port for the region at the end of the 19th century. Adjacent to the port is the Mojiko Retro District, a tourist site centred on Mojiko Station (wooden and modelled on Rome’s Termini Station), and Kyushu Railway History Museum which a short walk from Mojiko Station.
