Gothenburg is Sweden's second largest city and is situated on the west coast of Sweden at the mouth of the river Gota Alv. The city was developed largely by city planners and canal experts from the Netherlands and Germany, and this is the reason for the Amsterdam-style canal around the city centre. Gdynia is a city in northern Poland and an important seaport of Gdansk Bay on the south coast of the Baltic Sea. The fishing village was built as a major port from 1918, but it was mostly destroyed during WWII. Now rebuilt, the extensive port facilities welcome cruise ships to a city noted for its high quality of life, centres of education and festivals, beaches and tourist facilities. Gdynia is a wonderful example of a 20th century city with its construction covering the Art Deco period of the 20s and 30s, the Socialist era of post-war Europe, and the modern designs of the post-communist Poland. Queen Victoria Overview

    Queen Victoria

    4.3
    (from 92 verified customers)

Queen Victoria ship is one of the three Queens making up the Cunard fleet. Launched in 2007 and last refitted in 2018, the ship carries 2061 passengers. Aboard the smallest of the Cunard ships you will rarely find yourself in a crowd, except perhaps at dinner time or at a popular theatre show. She is a classic ship honouring the British tradition of afternoon tea, which includes white-gloved waiters who serve finger sandwiches, scones with cream in the Queens Rooms. She is elegant and a true icon to sail on. Queen Victoria is one of the few ships that has a class system, linking staterooms with dining venues. Art work specially commissioned is visible in public rooms, corridors, staterooms and lobbies. Most of the major public rooms are on the lowest decks: the Illuminations cinema, Royal Court Theatre, Grand Lobby, restaurants, shopping arcade, bars and clubs are on decks 2 and 3. On Deck 11 are the Queen's Grill and Princess Grill restaurants for higher-fare passengers. Amenities include the largest ballroom at sea and 5-star entertainment nightly in the Royal Court Theatre.
