Rome, the capital, and largest city of Italy, is full of unending possibilities. It can be reached from the port of Civitavecchia in approximately ninety minutes either by train or coach. Rome greets visitors with a multitude of faces, such as the Ancient City with ruins like: the Colosseum; the seven hills; the Roman Forum; and the Sacred Way, the path used for triumphal processions. View of Alghero, Italy

Alghero is situated on the NW coast of the Italian island of Sardinia, and while it reflects a Spanish influence - it was colonised by Spain the 14th C - the thriving marina and its old walled town with its network of narrow lanes that are mostly free of vehicles, provides a truly fascinating Italian port of call. The area of today's Alghero has been settled since pre-historic times, while the Ozieri culture was present here in the 4th millennium BC. During WW II (1943) Alghero was bombed, and its historical centre suffered heavy damage. However, since then Alghero has become a popular tourist resort. Read more about Alghero, Italy

The archaeological remains and monuments from the Phoenician, Roman, Arabian and Christian eras convert the historic centre into an ‘Open Museum’ displaying its rich history of more than 3,000 years. Queen Victoria Overview

    Queen Victoria

    4.3
    (from 92 verified customers)

Queen Victoria ship is one of the three Queens making up the Cunard fleet. Launched in 2007 and last refitted in 2018, the ship carries 2061 passengers. Aboard the smallest of the Cunard ships you will rarely find yourself in a crowd, except perhaps at dinner time or at a popular theatre show. She is a classic ship honouring the British tradition of afternoon tea, which includes white-gloved waiters who serve finger sandwiches, scones with cream in the Queens Rooms. She is elegant and a true icon to sail on. Queen Victoria is one of the few ships that has a class system, linking staterooms with dining venues. Art work specially commissioned is visible in public rooms, corridors, staterooms and lobbies. Most of the major public rooms are on the lowest decks: the Illuminations cinema, Royal Court Theatre, Grand Lobby, restaurants, shopping arcade, bars and clubs are on decks 2 and 3. On Deck 11 are the Queen's Grill and Princess Grill restaurants for higher-fare passengers. Amenities include the largest ballroom at sea and 5-star entertainment nightly in the Royal Court Theatre.
