1 Thursday, January 27, 2022 Melbourne, Australia Embark 6:00 PM

For those with a little more time to spend in Melbourne, there are many easy day trips to enjoy beyond the city limits by guided tour or with a hire car. Not even an hour from Melbourne, you’ll find Australia’s best-preserved steam train Puffing Billy - the historic railway puffs through the leafy Dandenong Ranges. The Mornington Peninsula offers first-rate wineries, local cuisine, and both bay and ocean beaches. To get up close with native fauna, a trip to Healesville Sanctuary will give you a fix - the beautiful, bushland-set sanctuary gives you the chance to cosy up with koalas, kangaroos and wombats as well as lesser-known Australian animals. learn more

Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound and Dusky Sound are all within the Park. This, together with two off-shore ice carved islands, makes it one of the most dramatic and beautiful places in New Zealand. learn more

Just 85 kilometres from the city of Christchurch, New Zealand, is the quaint and beautiful French village of Akaroa. It is situated within Akaroa Harbour in the heart of an ancient volcano that is now the circular Banks Peninsula. As the political centre of New Zealand, it houses Parliamentary buildings as well as the bulk of foreign diplomatic missions. Queen Elizabeth Overview

    Queen Elizabeth

    4.3
    (from 132 verified customers)

One of the three Queens making up the entirety of the Cunard fleet, Queen Elizabeth is a tribute to her predecessors, the original Queen Elizabeth and the much-loved Queen Elizabeth 2. Launched in 2010 and last refurbished in 2018, the ship has many art-deco interior features, marble and rich timber detailing, including the wooden marquetry of the ship itself, a centrepiece for the Grand Lobby’s main staircase. She is often affectionately known as the ‘QE’. The ship carries just over 2000 passengers and you will rarely find yourself in a crowd, except perhaps at prime dinner time or a popular theatre show. Highlights of the ship include the Garden Lounge - a light and airy atrium inspired by the conservatories Kew Gardens in London - laze here with a book and grab a speciality beverage. The Queens Room is truly the heart of the ship and is often a hive of activity thanks to the action-packed enrichment program aboard - from dancing classes, to live music, to speciality afternoon tea - this grand ballroom will draw you in. Croquet up on the Games Deck on a sunny day or a cosy night of spectacular entertainment in the Royal Court Theatre will ensure your days at sea are fulfilled. Like Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2, these ships also contain exclusive areas for guests in Princess and Queens Grill Suites.
