    Daphne Island (Isla Daphne) is a small inactive volcanic island north of Santa Cruz Island and 12 km west of the Baltra Airport in the Galápagos Islands, a small archipelago of islands belonging to Ecuador in the eastern Pacific Ocean. It is also known as Isla Daphne Major to distinguish it from its smaller companion (Daphne Minor) just 4 km to the NE. It consists of a crater, devoid of trees, with a rim that rises 120 m above sea-level. Though easily accessible to most visitors to the Galápagos, the national park service has highly restricted visits to this island, as it is primarily used for scientific research.     Puerto Egas is one of the most popular sites in the Galápagos archipelago of Ecuador and lies south of James Bay on the island of Santiago. The island consists of two overlapping volcanoes, the tallest of which has a height of 907m. Due to great volcanic activity in the past, it has a fantastic black sand beach. At the southern end of James Bay is Puerto Egas where two separate trails take off, the first along the coast to the fur seal grottos and the second inland to the Salt Mine Volcano, named after its owner Dario Egas.     Rábida Island is tiny island just off the southern coast of Santiago Island in the Galápagos Islands. These are a remote archipelago of equatorial volcanic islands situated in the eastern Pacific Ocean, about 955 km west of mainland Ecuador, of which they are a province. Sitting 4.5 km to the south of Santiago Island, Rábida Island is one of the most volcanically varied islands in the archipelago. Originally named for the 18th-century British admiral John Jervis, the island’s official Ecuadorian name is Isla Rábida, named after the convent of Rábida, where Columbus left his son during his voyage to the Americas.     Getting around Sydney is easy and accessible. You can jump on a train from Sydney airport to Circular Quay in approx.18 minutes, ride the hop on hop off bus around the city that offers multiple stops including Sydney Tower, Botanic Gardens, Australian Powerhouse and Maritime Museums, Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge or the Bondi bus. If travelling on the water is more your style, catch a ferry to visit Sydney’s amusement park, Luna Park, visit the buzzing Manly Beach wharf which is linked to the Corso mall or cruise west of the city to join a Haunted History, Crooked Character or Convict Precinct tour at UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, Cockatoo Island.     Isla Bartolome is an islet and one of the younger islands in the Galápagos archipelago (Ecuador) that lies just off the east coast of Santiago Island. It consists of an extinct volcano and a variety of red, orange, green, and glistening black volcanic formations that result in some truly delightful landscapes. The visitor site includes the landing beach, and the beach continues to the remains of a floating dock abandoned by American soldiers in World War II.     San Cristóbal Island is one of the eastern Galápagos Islands, Ecuador. Possibly the most popular activity for visitors is a walk along the beautiful waterfront promenade, which features several fountains, playgrounds for children, and an enclosed saltwater swimming area that is likely to contain more sea lions than people! Take a taxi 8 km to visit El Progreso, the site of Manuel Cobo’s infamous prison and work camp, then continue on to the Lookout that offers great panoramic views of the island.
