Last Friday 31st August, 2018 a few of our team from Clean Cruising were able to get down to Sydney for CLIA’s 2018 Cruise360 Conference which was held at Hyatt Regency.
It was an early morning start, up at 3.50am… to be precise… and boarded our flight at 6am from Brisbane. Pumped full of coffee and ready for a great day ahead!
Registration kicked off from 7am but the conference didn’t commence until 8.30am so we had a little bit of time up our sleeves. As it turned out our flight was delayed for a short time and of course we got caught in the wonderful Sydney peak hour traffic, however, we managed to arrive with two minutes to spare which gave us enough time to register, and grab a little snack to eat on our way in.
This year’s Cruise360 saw the most attendees in its history – pretty cool to be a part of that and Ross Greenwood hosted the event for his third year in a row – best man for the job, in my opinion!
Throughout the day we heard from various influential men and women within the Cruise Industry in different breakout sessions and panels which I found very beneficial. Events such as Cruise360 are a great opportunity for us to network with our suppliers and different travel agencies around Australia and New Zealand and become more knowledgeable about the Cruise Industry.
One of the highlights of my day was seeing our General Manager, Dan Russell moderate a breakout session in the afternoon “Double Your Impact: Make the most of your Partnerships with the Cruise Lines”. It was fantastic to see Dan up on stage and doing a wonderful job!
A full day of conferencing was followed by some networking drinks in the Grand Ballroom from 5-7pm, it was at this point we left the event and headed to the Airport for our flight home to Brisbane.
Thanks for an awesome day team and thank you for reading 🙂
