Le Soléal (the Sun/Sunlight in French) offers itineraries that are impressive. She joined Compagnie du Ponant as a premium vessel in 2013, showing magnificent lines, elegance and furnishings that reflect modern French marine architecture. She is 5-star, “your own private yacht.” With 264 guests and 140 crew service is personal.Technically, her dynamic positioning system (no anchors) and ‘Clean Ship’ standards are impressive. Fellow passengers come from many backgrounds, are well-travelled and refined. You’ll find all amenities are modern, ample space for sun-bathing or solitude, theatre for 250 with entertainment on selected evenings, and fine dining.

Dining
French cuisine making good use of local fresh foods is a feature of this vessel. The two restaurants welcome guests to breakfast, lunch and dinner. The 268-seat Gastronomic Restaurant, at the rear and adjacent to the Marina, serves meals and complimentary wines worthy of the finest restaurants. The smaller Grill Restaurant adjacent to the pool offers al fresco dining with buffet lunches and themed dinners.

The forward-looking Panoramic Lounge and Terrace, and the Main Lounge off Reception are comfortably fitted with leather seats and are just the places to build friendships, perhaps with a drink or cocktail. There is also an open-air bar on the top Sun Deck. Each afternoon pastries and drinks are served.
Entertainment
Lounges are used for lectures by prominent experts, depending on the voyage, and also for shows, as is the 260-seat Theatre.
Activities
For solitude retire to the library, games area with Wii™ consoles, or Internet room. Every guest can feel comfortable relaxing in his/her own way. Guests will find that most entertainment comes from ocean views and on-shore excursions. After all, this is an expedition vessel!
Health & Fitness
The Fitness centre is fitted with the latest equipment such as Kinesis Wall, exercise cycles and running machines. The Beauty Centre offers treatments by Sothys, and includes a range of massages and pampering.
Kids

All ships have a special area for children onboard known as the Le Kids Club. Books, television, board games and consoles (PS4 or Wii™) are all provided to keep younger guests entertained.

All 132 staterooms are of generous size with sea views, and include all the usual luxury amenities: DVD, CD and iPod players with Video on Demand, Internet access, controllable air-conditioning, bath robe and toiletries, wardrobes encased in white leather, and king or twin beds. On Deck 3 there are eight Superior Staterooms each with a panoramic window, and 28 Deluxe Staterooms with balcony, walk-in robe and bathtub. On Decks 4 to 6 there are 92 Prestige Staterooms. Forty of these can be linked with adjoining cabins and reconfigured, to make 20 Prestige Suites.

These will have two bathrooms, and separate sleeping and entertainment areas. Staterooms can accommodate a third person. On Deck 6 is the one very large Owner’s Suite with its own dining area, and three large Deluxe Suites. Full Butler Service is available to the 13 suites on Deck 6, to attend to your every need. Three cabins are specially adapted for disabled guests, and adjacent to elevators. Three elevators service all decks. There is 24 h room service with a dining menu. From May 2015 the minibar will be complimentary.)
