Also, there are no fees or late charges, while payments are always flexible to suit your own budget. We recommend payments be made by direct deposit for your convenience and to further reduce your bank fees.
Most importantly, all your Layby payments are protected at all times by Australia's Travel Compensation Fund.
Your cruise specialist is an expert on layby plans and can answer all your questions! Australian cruise/travel agencies are required to display their physical office address which consumers can view and verify in Google Maps.
If you can't find it on their website and communications, then chances are they hiding something from you.
At best they are a backyard operation with limited resources, difficult to track down when things go wrong.
Consumers are warned to stay away from any booking agency that doesn't display their business address - it's just not worth the risk!

Life aboard Silver Cloud
Extensively refurbished in 2012, and carrying just 296 guests, what can you expect onboard? Butler service, casual attire and open-seated dining, genuine hospitality, and all-inclusive service are some of the pleasures you can expect. On shore your fare includes hosted adventures lead by scientists and destination experts. Your fellow guests will be discerning, well-travelled couples (mostly over 50) who prefer a small ship setting, gourmet food, fine service and elegant surrounds. The ship will cater to your pampering, fitness, shopping, and contact-with-the-outside-world needs. Attention to detail on Silver Cloud is impeccable. As one guest said, “it’s like cruising on ‘cloud nine’”.
Accommodation
This is a luxury small ship. All staterooms are suites with outside views, 75% of which have private teakwood balconies. Staterooms are large by industry standards, with twin beds or queen-size bed, and a sitting area with sofa, chairs, coffee table and replenished refrigerator and bar. Other amenities include marbled bathroom with full-sized bath, walk-in robe with personal safe, vanity table with hair dryer, a writing desk, flat screen TV with DVD, and direct-dial telephone. Some suites can accommodate a third person. All accommodations come with Butler service.
There are seven grades of suites. Silver Suites accommodate three guests. Royal and Grand Suites can join a Verandah Suite to make two bedrooms, and Owner’s Suite joins with a Vista Suite. Suites have progressively larger sitting, dining, and balcony areas, and increased outside-viewing. Royal, Grand and Owner’s Suites feature extended butler service, coffee machine, and a good amount of free time using the Internet and world-wide telephone, plus a large range of extra niceties that centre on personal service. Nothing a guest could wish for is missing. Two Vista Suites are wheelchair-accessible.
Food and Dining
The main dining room provides open-seating dining, set with fine china and silverware. Multi-course à la carte gourmet meals are served at all hours, accompanied by liberal complimentary wines. The alternative à la carte restaurant La Terrazza serves a selection of Italy’s best cuisine. La Terrazza is open for casual, buffet-style breakfast and lunch with indoor or al fresco dining on the outdoor terrace.
The only Wine Restaurant by Relais & Châteaux at sea can be found aboard the ships of Silversea. Indulge in an evening at Le Champagne where fine wines are complemented by a set tasting menu of regionally inspired dishes in an intimate, elegant setting. As for breakfast, most prefer to be served in their suite. A 24-hour in-cabin dining service delivers course-by-course to your suite balcony. A poolside grill provides light options with salads. Retire to the Panorama or Observation lounges for drinks and conversation.
Entertainment
Silver Perspectives is an enrichment program that delivers lectures, informal talks and demonstrations to enrich your understanding of the countries and peoples you meet, delivered by guest lecturers and consultants. Some voyages are based on a theme – ‘Cultural Voyage’ or ‘Culinary and Wine Voyage’. Activities include wine tastings and cooking demonstrations, lectures, language lessons, dance classes, bridge, ever-popular Trivia, and the Silver Links golf program.
Evening entertainment in the Show Lounge may include a production show, solo entertainers and local presentations. For quiet time retire to the library, the small casino, or the Internet café. For health and fitness there are the small gym, fitness classes, and The Spa that offers are variety of treatments, a steambath and sauna. Personal trainers can design a lifestyle programme just for you. On the top deck are a pool and deck chair space. Fares are inclusive of gratuities.
