Seven Seas Navigator
Cruises are port-intensive, and focus on the best possible onshore excursions. Until mid-August 2010 Navigator offers 7-night cruises to the fjords and glaciers of Canada and Alaska. She then circles the Pacific, through East Asia and South-East Asia to Australia and New Zealand, and back to San Francisco. Sectors range from 19- to 40-nights. Navigator then relocates to Fort Lauderdale in late December 2010, to run 7- and 10-night cruises to the Western and Eastern Caribbean respectively. In late April 2011 she returns to the Vancouver itinerary. All staterooms are large suites (90% have a private balcony), with walk-in closet, king-size bed (or two singles), complimentary bar, with full-size bath and separate shower. Passengers spend more time in these suites than on most other ships afloat.

Built in 1999 at 30,000 GT and carrying 490 passengers, Navigator was refurbished in 2009. Dining in the open-seated Compass Rose features gourmet food and wine over the surroundings. Alternatively, make a reservation for the Portofino Grill (including Italian cooking), or the Pool Grill. Full room service offers all dining options. All beverages and gratuities are included in the fare. The wide choices of public rooms, lounges and clubs allow for an un-crowded feel. Other facilities include multi-media library with full Internet access, and casino. Galileo's is the most popular public space, with an active bar, dance floor, and piano. Entertainment includes Broadway-style productions in the seven-tiered Seven Seas Show Lounge, headline artists, the ship’s ensemble, and bridge (with instructor). On some cruises children have access to the Club Mariner children's programs. Typical Navigator passengers appear to be 40+, affluent and quite well travelled. Check dress code requirements before sailing. Complimentary self-service launderettes are available.
