Voyager of the Seas
Voyager sails out of Barcelona for 7-night cruises along the coastlines of Italy, Monaco and France. Of the 1557 staterooms, 69% have a sea view and of these 49% have balconies. All staterooms come with a twin-that-can-be-converted-to-queen bed, private bathroom, phone, closed-circuit television, and mini bar. Interestingly, almost 10% of the staterooms have bay windows that face inwards (priced higher, and not quite so private or quiet) towards The Royal Promenade, with its four-deck boulevard running half the length of the ship. Family-friendly staterooms include connecting cabins: book these early. Royal Caribbean's room service options are available around the clock via 24-hour menus.

Voyager of the Seas is one of five Voyager-class ships and, at 137,276 GT, is the fourth largest class in the world (and largest ship of the first millennium!). In service since 1999 (and refurbished in 2004), the ship carries 3114 passengers. The vessel has a variety of dining options, including a spectacular three-level main dining room with three separate and distinct themed dining areas. Specialty eateries include Johnny Rockets, the 1950s-style burger joint; buffet choices in the Windjammer Café; the Cafe Promenade features light fare at all times; and Portofino is a seven-course pay-extra Italian-themed restaurant. Day and night, entertainment never ends. In addition to Studio B – a 900-seat arena for a variety of shows, including ice shows and ice-skating – is La Scale Theatre, a 1350-seat theatre which has 25,000W of power for sound equipment and 18,000W for lighting equipment. The Solarium pool evokes the glories of Venice; and the Casino Royale (with nearly 300 slot machines) centres on a Hollywood theme. Sports facilities include an outdoor sports deck, complete with golf course, driving range and golf simulators, as well as a roller blade track and a full-sized sports court for basketball, paddleball and volleyball. There is also a rock-climbing wall on the funnel. There are large facilities for children and teens and large conference facilities. The vessel also contains a wedding chapel.
