Life aboard Oasis of the Seas
This ship has all the latest RCI features: the first Starbucks at Sea, Broadway musical Hairspray, AquaTheater aerialists, Central Park boulevard with shops and gardens – and nine decks overhead ride the 25m zip line! The ship is a floating vacation resort for families and children. Adults retire to their own Solarium retreat, bars and lounges, while babes to teens are fully catered for with the Babies & Tots, DreamWorks and Adventure Ocean programs. Finding your way around is easy and elevators are fast. You pay for many extras, and need to plan where to eat and what to purchase, so order packages online before your cruise. But sailing on the world’s largest cruise liner is an experience in itself.

Accommodation
Staterooms come in 37 price grades, depending on position and size. The four categories are Suites/Deluxe Staterooms, Balcony Staterooms, Ocean View Staterooms and Interior Staterooms. When selecting accommodation consider the view (a seascape, or overlooking the open-air Central Park or Boardwalk), the level of privacy (sea views are more private), and location near to or far from activity areas. All staterooms come with private bathroom, vanity area, hair dryer, interactive TV and phone. Many cabins are family-friendly with up to four additional bunk beds, and interconnecting rooms. There are no single cabins, and many are wheelchair-accessible. In-cabin service and dining is available 24-hours.

Loft suites are spread over two floors, with floor-to-ceiling windows opening to a balcony, giving outstanding views. Travel in style with a selection of twelve categories of Suites, which are especially good for large families needing more space, and may include complimentary concierge service. Suites come with priority check-in, most have multiple rooms and balconies, and depending on the suite you may have whirlpool tub, baby grand piano and an entertainment area, and accommodate up to 14 guests. The stateroom’s TV enables guests to request room service, to book show tickets, shore excursions, movies and specialty dining, and keep track of their onboard account. Smoking is only permitted on private ocean view balconies of balcony/suite staterooms.

Food and Dining
For the Main Dining Room, spread over three decks, select from three dining choices before cruising: fixed seating at the same table nightly, at either early or late sitting; open-seated My Time Dining (with pre-paid gratuities) at a flexible time; and early sitting My Family Time Dining that allows children aged 3 to 11 years to leave for their Adventure Ocean kids club. Menus feature healthy, vegetarian and kosher options. Special dietary needs can be catered for by giving advanced notice. Menus change daily throughout the cruise. Evening dress is casual or smart casual. Expect one to three formal evenings in the Main Dining Room during your cruise. There are 13 complimentary eating options, including Windjammers Café, Park Café, Boardwalk Dog House, room service, and many others.

Specialty dining (with a cover charge) can be booked at 150 Central Park, Chops Grille steakhouse, and Giovanni’s Table Italian restaurant. À la carte options are available at Izumi Asian for sushi, and tapas at Vintages wine bar. Join up to 14 guests at the Chef’s Table for a five course gourmet menu with selected wines. There’s a full signature Starbucks Coffee menu to select from, brewed by trained baristas. There are package deals for wine, juice, sodas and bottled water.

Entertainment
Signature features on Oasis of the Seas include: AquaTheater ice shows, trapeze shows and water ballet, viewed on the two giant LED screens around the stage, plus sun baking, scuba diving, and a 10m dive platform; the Broadway hit musical Chicago; the 3D Cinema; and of course the Zip Line. The ship features seven theme areas to suit one’s mood – Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, Pool & Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone. Entertainment Place offers guests Casino Royale, shows in the 1,380-seat theatre, and live music in a jazz and blues lounge. The ship's Youth Zone is exclusively for kids and teens and offers Adventure Ocean youth programmes. Parties and parades, and live music venues, frequent the ship. The Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Center is fully equipped, runs a variety of beauty services and fitness classes, and offers healthy snacks at its café. The top deck Pool and Sports Zone features two FlowRiders (wave machines), H2O Zone kids water park, and the first Beach Pool at sea. And every RCI ship has a rock-climbing wall – Allure and Oasis have two. Just stroll around Central Park and the Boardwalk – shop, dine al fresco, and ride the carousel. For quiet time retire to the Library/Card Room or Internet Café.
