Sapphire Princess
Sapphire Princess sails from Seattle to cruise the fjords of the Alaskan Panhandle. In September/October she visits 13 ports across the Pacific and New Zealand in a 4-week cruise to Sydney; then returns to her Los Angeles base for Mexican Riviera cruises and 14-night cruises to Hawaii. This ship offers affordable outside and balcony staterooms. More than 70 percent of the ship's cabins are outside, and 78 percent of these feature private verandahs. All cabins come with a television system supporting major channels and a romance channel. There are two connecting family suites on this ship (each with two bathrooms), and 27 handicap-accessible cabins. Sapphire Princess has an exclusive hideout, at the aft, with a gigantic veranda and elegant furnishings. This 1,329-square-ft., one-bedroom suite has lush brocades, sumptuous bedding, a corner whirlpool tub and separate multi-jet shower, dining table inside for six and outside for four, a wet bar, two televisions and a personal computer.

Entering service in 2004 at 116,000 GT, Sapphire Princess carries 2670 passengers. Passengers can opt for traditional evening dining or the cruise line's "Anytime" option. Four themed restaurants include: the brash Santa Fe, the gilded Vivaldi, the serene Pacific Moon and the club Savoy. Other facilities include The Wake View Bar, Explorers lounge, the cozy Churchill's (the vessel’s sports-themed bar), buffets, bistros, casino, and an Internet cafe with 29 computer stations. The ship features seven swimming pools, a tennis court, and nine-hole golf putting course. The conservatory contains one of the pools and a bar, with a balcony deck and sliding glass roof. There is also a Lotus spa with fitness centre and outdoor sunken terraced pool. The teens' and children's area covers almost 10,000ft² of indoor and outdoor space, with their own pool. The Scholarship@Sea program features a range of activities, from lectures on topics such as marine life and magic, to hands-on computer skills and photography. Skywalker's Disco & Observation Lounge high up on the Sky Deck overhangs the aft of the ship providing unobstructed panoramas both day and night. The piece de resistance piece is the two-story Princess Theater, which seats 705.
