Grand Princess was recently refitted in 2019. Features include a completely new Piazza atrium, new eateries (Alfredo’s Pizzeria and the Crown Grill), and the line’s first specialty tea lounge called Leaves. Also added are seven new window suites; remodeled casino, boutiques and art gallery; enhancements to the Horizon Court, Lotus Spa, and wedding chapel; and the addition of Crooner’s Martini Lounge and a new nightclub One5.

The ship itself is a cruise destination. She has two decks of public spaces and plenty of lifts and staircases that make for ease of movement. There is an ‘adults only’ two-deck Sanctuary area with padded sun loungers and pool for your solitude. Newly fitted is a large ‘Movies Under the Stars’ screen. Read more

Highlights

  • Harkening back to the Golden Era of sea travel, the Traditional Dining option allows you to dine at the same time each day and enjoy the same tablemates and wait staff throughout your voyage. Choose from either early or late seating.

  • Ship offers 24-hour complimentary room service when you want to enjoy a quiet moment in your cabin eating a delicious club sandwich or maybe that slice of chocolate fudge cake which you can’t forget.

Cabins

There are six types of cabin and 35 price categories: insides, outsides (some obstructed), balcony cabins, outside mini-suites (with and without balconies) and balcony suites. Cabins are roomy and nicely appointed, with satellite television access to major channels. Standard cabins are practical and attractive, many have additional upper berths for children, and some have inter-connecting doors. The larger the stateroom, the more additional facilities.

All guests receive turndown service, chocolates on pillow at night, bathrobes and amenity kits, and complimentary room service on most items 24 hours a day. There are no single cabins, 26 wheelchair-accessible cabins, and some cabins accommodate families of three and four. Four types of suites are available, including two family suites, each of which can sleep up to 10 people if four are children – otherwise eight adults. Mid-priced suites compare more than favorably with motel accommodation, amenities and service. Most balconies give privacy, and some can be joined with other balconies when travelling in a group. Suites have a bathtub and second television. The 26 suites and 180 mini-suites cover a large range of sizes and additional free-bees such as complimentary laundry and shoe shine, a selection of pillows, daily in-room canapés and high tea, free Internet access, and much more.
