Azura’s maiden voyage in April 2010 from Southampton (UK), is a 16-night central Mediterranean cruise that includes calls to Venice and Dubrovnik. After initial cruises in the Mediterranean, the Azura shifts to itineraries in Barbados from October 2010 to April 2011. The Azura has 1,557 staterooms, with 900 featuring private balconies, and a select number of spa staterooms with exclusive access to the Oasis Spa; also eighteen single staterooms. Staterooms are equipped with a flat screen interactive television to view programmes as well as place orders. Family suites accommodate up to six people, with space for two separate bedrooms. A private butler service is also available for family suite guests.

Entering service in April 2010, at 116,000 GT and carrying 3092 passengers, Azura is P&O’s latest cruise ship. Sporting a distinctive rounded bow, Azura is filled with modern luxuries and innovations. Her atmosphere is stylish, sophisticated and serene, designed to appeal to P&O’s traditional client base and returning customers. The ship has three main restaurants: Amber, Topaz and Jade. Sindhu, an Indian fine dining restaurant. The Venezia is the Azura’s main self-service restaurant, where food is available all day; as is Verona, serving pizzas, burgers and pasta. During the day, the Java coffee bar serves coffee, chocolates, tea and snacks while at night it serves pre-dinner drinks.
