Artemis
MS Artemis sails from Southampton (UK) for cruises ranging from 7 to 26 nights. Destinations include the Baltic Sea, Norway and Iceland, circum navigating the UK, and the Mediterranean. The 26-night voyage in November visits ancient Bible lands of the East Mediterranean. In January 2011 Artemis commences a 98-night world tour: via the Suez Canal to China, returning via South Africa. Sight-seeing includes the Pyramids and the Great Wall. Able to sail into waters not charted by larger ships, Artemis is adventurous of spirit. She is one of the few ships with no inside cabins. All cabins are comfortable and well appointed. There are two formal dinner seatings in the Coral Dining Room, or alternatively self-serve on the Lido Deck. For entertainment go to the amphitheatre-shaped International Lounge, or enjoy live music in the various bars and lounges.

Artemis was launched in 1984, refurbished for P & O service in 2005, and at 44,348 GT carries 1,200 passengers. This child-free vessel is best suited to singles and couples, with entertainment geared to British tastes, in an informal setting and with plenty of open-plan public rooms. The interior reflects a feeling of space, openness and light. There are several large, nicely appointed public rooms, spacious passageways and imposing staircases. One nice feature is the dedicated movie theatre. Artemis will provide a cruise in almost elegant surroundings at a decent price. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. One can dress for the fashion stakes, or just be reasonably smart.
