Until early July 2010 Pacific Sun cruises from Auckland to islands of the South Pacific. After that guests embark at Sydney, Newcastle or Brisbane at various months of the year. Apart from the Pacific Islands, some cruises venture to the Great Barrier Reef. Standard cabins are a decent size and have twin beds that can be converted into queens. There are 453 ocean-view cabins. Three and four berth cabins are also available with cots for children under 3 years.
Sailing since 1986, the 47,262 GT Pacific Sun was extensively refitted in 2008. Features include a top deck adults-only Oasis spa and whirlpool area; two deck-tall waterslide; an ocean-view gym area; Lotus Spa relaxation area; Internet café; steakhouse, multiple themed bars and restaurants; and children’s facilities and video arcade. Join in a variety of organised day activities, and enjoy good professional entertainment by dancers and comedians in the evenings. Dress up for the formal dinner/s.
