Nautica
Until October 2010 Nautica offers a selection of eleven 10- to 14-night port-intensive cruises around the Mediterranean and Black Sea. In November and December a 30-night voyage leaves Istanbul for Cape Town, and then a 35-night cruise to Singapore. Few ships visit the ports and countries on these routes – these cruises are extraordinary. In January and February 2011 Nautica sails the coasts of East and South-East Asia for 15- to 24-nights. In March 2011 she returns to Dubai, and then Athens, visiting some of the world’s ancient empires (including Luxor and Cairo on the Nile). A large number of cabins have balconies and, note, Oceania Line offers some of the best beds at sea! Cabins are on the small side, but made up for by affordability.

Launched in 2005, MS Nautica measures 30,277 GT and carries 684 passengers. This is a ‘small ship’ boasting many big-ship features. The comfortable public leather seating, teak lounges, and impressive library with ceiling murals and telescopes spoil guests at sea. Dining is open-seated with excellent menus in four main restaurants. The two alternative restaurants (at no extra cost) are also superb. Don’t miss High Tea served at 4 pm daily. Speedy room service is available from a separate in-room dining menu. While this is not a family ship, children enjoy the ports by day and hot tubs by night. Past guests award Nautica an overall 5 star rating. This vessel is up-scale and gives good value for money. The ambiance resembles that of a private country club - casual, yet elegant.
