Norwegian Spirit
To the end of March 2010 Norwegian Spirit operates 7-night cruises ex historic New Orleans to the tourist centres and reefs off Costa Maya and Cozumel (Mexico), the Mayan ruins of Guatamala, and Belize City. In April a 12-night relocation cruise to Boston circles the Caribbean – Yucatan Peninsula, Netherlands Antilles off South America, and Bermuda in the North Atlantic. From late April to October 7-night cruises ex Boston berth for parts of 4 days in the old naval port of King’s Wharf, Bermuda. In late October 2010 the vessel makes a 15-night return cruise to New Orleans. From November Norwegian Spirit makes 7-night voyages between New Orleans and New York (the two most popular tourist cities in the USA), visiting four ports on the Yucatan Peninsula. Basic cabins are modest in size, but bathrooms large. All cabins have coffee makers with complimentary java. More than 300 cabins are interconnecting, which is great for families. Most outside cabins have balconies accessed through full-wall sliding doors, meaning you have a great view, even when the doors are closed. The various suite categories have some very attractive features.

In service since 1998 at 77,000 GT and carrying 1,966 passengers, Norwegian Spirit was last refurbished in 2008. Spirit has 11 restaurants (NCL’s Freestyle 2.0 concept) as well as plenty of family features and eight bars and lounges. It's a lively, friendly ship with excellent service. Children and teens are very well catered for, as befits a family ship. On top of the main dining rooms are great pay-extra alternative eateries. Sip a latte in the six-deck Grand Centrum atrium with its waterfalls, black marble floor and grand staircase. Norwegian Spirit offers an impressive number of bars, lounges, entertainment venues, and the classic Stardust Theater. Spa and fitness options get very good reviews. Guests range from toddlers to Seniors. The dress code is casual; The Windows dining room is for those who want to dress up at night.
